Schools Dry Slope Dual Slalom

Series 2013

Thursday 31st October - Halloween... Final of the Scottish Schools Dual Slalom event at Xscape, Glasgow.  After all the qualifiers across the country at Dry Ski Slopes the final showdown between the Primary Novice, Primary Experienced, Secondary Novice and Secondary Experienced Teams was a great day of racing.  Two of the winning schools were full of Glasgow Ski Racing members..  Winner of the Experienced Primary Schools was St Cadocs Primary in Newton Mearns and winner of the Experienced Secondary Schools category was Mearns Castle High School.  Well done to Isla, Erin, Thomas Ward and Luke Burke for St Cadocs and Keri Anderson, Kate Taylor, Zak & Owen Vinter for Mearns Castle High..  The Racing was fearcly fought with some fantastic racing from the High School of Glasgow in the shape of Georgia, Mhairi & Cameron Crooks for the primary and Fraser Sturrock for the Secondary school.  Well done to the High School and Robert Gordon Collage who all skied really well..

Championships 2014

Congratulations to St Cadocs Primary School, winners of the Experienced Primary Schools Races.  Well Done to Thomas Ward, Isla Ward, Erin Ward and Luke Burke who stormed through to win finals against tough competition from Abernethy Primary and George Watson Collage.


Congratulations also go to Mearns Castle High School for winning the Experienced High School Races.  Well done to Kate Taylor, Jimmy Fitzpatrick (Sub for Keri Anderson in the final), Scott Wylie and Owen Vinter.  Thanks to Keri for contributing to the win in the qualifier rounds.  Speedy recovery to Keri who is competing in the World Schools at the end of the month.
